History

Over 400 years ago, our beautiful canal house did not look like it does today, it consisted of two seperate buildings. About 140 years ago, it was rebuilt to its present state. On this page we would like to share some stories about former owners, renters and businesses that once were part of this magnificent history, stories that took place in this very building.

  • "Staff was fantastic and very accommodating. Couldn't have been nicer or more responsive. Hotel was in a fantastic location - central to everything of interest in Centrum."

  • "Hotel Nes enjoys a central location with shopping, restaurants and museums all in walking distance. The rooms are small but that is to be expected when the building was built in 1590! That said, the bed was large and comfy which is exactly what you want. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend, for the price, it’s excellent value."
